Our history
Six years ago, Matt discovered that West Michigan lacked a CSA Chapter, so he took the initiative to start one. To help organize it, he reached out to a group of like-minded professionals, including Aaron Bregg, Lloyd Guyot, Aaron Vogler, Adam Boynton, and others, forming the non-profit professional organization together. Since its founding in 2019, the West Michigan Chapter has grown into one of the most successful CSA Chapters globally, hosting signature events like the St. Patrick’s Bash, Oktoberween, and the Holiday Spectacular.
Beyond events, the CSA West Michigan Chapter has spearheaded several impactful initiatives that are reshaping the industry, such as a women in security program, CloudCon and GCRIE. Community involvement is at the heart of the chapter’s mission, and they’ve proudly raised over $50,000 for local charities and causes, underscoring their commitment to giving back.
